IPSO Newsletter - Payments Today Q3 2011

IPSO’s newsletter ‘Payments Today’ provides insights from Ireland’s experts on payments to its readers in member banks, as well as to all payment users, both businesses and consumers.

The Q3 edition includes a number of regular features as well as two guest articles. In one of these Chris Skinner (Financial Services Club) gives his view on the Future of Retail Payments and in the other the Revenue Commissioners explain how they have been modernising their payment collection systems.

      IPSO Newsletter Payments Today Q3 2011
      The Q2 2011 edition includes a number of regular features as well as two guest articles. One of these explains how the Courts Service automated its payments processes and in the other Sentenial explores the challenges facing Irish businesses in the changeover to SEPA. It also contains an article “The Rise of Debit cards in Ireland” as well as a very informative article on “Payment Card Data Security Standards”.

      The Q1 2011 edition provides statistical and expert analysis of the payment landscape in Ireland and also in Europe, the latest on card fraud prevention and details of the closure of the cheque guarantee card scheme. It also looks at welfare payments going electronic both in Ireland and the USA, lists some interesting direct debit facts, includes a brief roundup of other headlines and an editorial contribution from the Department of Agriculture’s Colm McKiernan on how the Department switched to electronic for all farmers’ payments.
